The Thompson Landry Gallery is proud to welcome Montreal artist, André Pitre for his solo exhibition,The Colour of Things. In recent years Pitre has quickly established himself as one of the most promising artists of his generation. In this latest series of contemporary works, Pitre's architectural background has clearly shaped his vision. The artist pushes his spatial exploration further as he presents a duality of intimate subjects and vast landscapes, juxtaposing both of these elements, creating stunning diptychs and montages. Known for his textural diversity, Pitre's latest conceptions do not disappoint. Combining various mediums and powerful spatial manipulations, Pitre's works demand to be experienced in order to be truly appreciated.
