09/24/2016 Charity Classical Piano Concert Premiere Downtown $50 - $59

The concert will feature solo performances as well as duos with both artists on stage performing on two Steinway pianos. Pieces will include Sibelius, Chopin, Mozart and Rachmaninoff. Although they have performed in many prestigious concert halls in Japan, North and South America, this will be their first performance in Toronto. The Toronto JSS Charity Concert promises an exciting and culturally enriching event. Ms. Terada's technique has been described as ‘fine as a golden thread' and having grown up in a musical family, Mr. Watanabe is an accomplished artist who was awarded the prestigious Sibelis Medal last year,” says Junko Yamamoto, Volunteer Fundraising Chair, “the audience can expect a masterful performance.

Engaging in themes of contemporary identity, culture, image, objects, commodification, and sexuality, this exhibition shares a process of awareness and discovery as Rai and Benítez photographically respond to each other's work. Featuring playful and clever self-portraits and still life photographs, this exhibition also incorporates elements of installation and mixed media.
