09/20/2016 AGO Creative Minds Downtown

Hosted in partnership with the CBC, The Banff Centre and Massey Hall, AGO Creative Minds is a series of provocative conversations with some of the world's most visionary artists, authors, filmmakers and musicians. Join us for our first event on September 20, moderated by CBC's Matt Galloway. Novelist André Alexis, singer-songwriter Buffy Sainte-Marie, director Deepa Mehta, and visual artist Rebecca Belmore will discuss the role of the creative community in confronting issues of social justice and how to create lasting change. The event includes a musical performance by Canadian vocal star Measha Brueggergosman. AGO Creative Minds opens with a short performance before moving into the discussion.
