06/28/2016 Mel Côté at 120 Diner for the Toronto Jazz Festival Downtown $10 - $19

120 Diner opens its doors to the Toronto Jazz Festival for a series of concerts that showcase the pre-eminent sounds of jazz. A singer and performer since early childhood, Mel Côté's passion for music took her to Cambrian College's classical program as well as Humber College's prestigious Jazz Studies Program. Her love for Jazz had her forming many ensembles with several respected Toronto musicians. In 2009, an urge to go back to her French roots has found her falling in love with the repertoire of legendary Edith Piaf. She is a thriving member of the “Jack Squat” party band and also likes to get lost in the folk styles of Joni Mitchell.
