t's the Morkan sisters' annual dinner party and dance on the feast of the Epiphany, Dublin, 1904. Their nephew Gabriel is tasked with making a speech to bring the year to a close, but words of the living and thoughts of the dead threaten his resolve. In this Workshop Presentation based on James Joyce's short story The Dead, Soulpepper Academy playwright Anthony MacMahon crafts a look into Joyce's implied or unexplored narratives between Gabriel and his friends and family. In this original adaptation, the music of speech, and the poetry of music expose the story's central themes of identity, fate and belonging. Anthony MacMahon. Adapted from The Dead by James Joyce

Under the direction of Elaine Tangye, the Trelawny Male Voice Choir features over 80 singers from properly constituted Cornish male voice choirs, accompanied by piano and organ. The Choir has travelled from Cornwall, England to make a special appearance in Toronto and will perform a variety of music, including sacred, secular and classical pieces. All ages are welcome and tickets are $20 when prepaid before August 28 and $25 after August 28 and at the door. Light refreshments will be served during the interval and CDs will be on sale.

A curator has been murdered and a trail of clues left behind, connected to secrets in the collections. As you solve clues, you'll begin to piece together a tale of greed, lust, pride and revenge. There are multiple suspects, one victim and you, the sleuths, must crack a cryptic code left in the curator's appointment book to solve the mystery. On an Urban Capers Scavenger Hunt, you don't collect items, but rather answers to tricky and humorous questions. Teams of two to six compete over the course of two hours. This hunt is designed for adults, but children as young as 10 have participated. This event is not associated with the ROM.

The Waterfront BIA encouraged amateur photographers to capture the beauty of Toronto's Waterfront for their My Waterfront Photo Contest in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. Over 2,500 images were submitted and photos were judged on overall impact, originality, artistic merit, composition and technical excellence. Each year, 50 finalists were then showcased in the My Waterfront Photo Exhibit in Queen's Quay Terminal. Now in 2015, they have selected 100 images from the top 200 photos submitted, to display in the Waterfront Outdoor Photo Exhibit.
